*FOUR KINDS OF FASTING

Normal Fast

Going without food for a definite period of time during which you ingest only liquids (water or juice).  Duration can be a meal, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, and 1 month.  A fast this long shouldl only be done with a doctor’s permission. Extreme caution should be taken with longer fasts.  Include Gatorade or a sports drink as you loose electrolytes on extended fasts.

Absolute Fast

Allows no food or water at all and should be very short. Please do not attempt this kind of fast if you are under a doctor’s care for any medical conditions.

 Partial Fast

Omits certain foods or is on a schedule that includes limited eating.  This can be eating only vegetables one day, grain the next etc.  This can also consist of omitting one meal a day.

Rotational Fast

Eating or omitting certain families of foods for a designated amount of time.
