To prepare you for this journey, here’s a few tips below to help better understand some things that may seem foreign to you.

 

Try to audibly lift up the name of each child/teen at some time during your intercession throughout the day.  If you are praying for many kids, it might be helpful to print out the list and take it to work with you for breaks or lunchtime prayer. 

  • Audibly pray the prayer.  Hearing these scriptures builds your faith and reminds the enemy whom these kids belong to.  If you can interject each kids name into the prayer, that is wonderful.  If not, simply lift their name to the Lord with a phrase like, “Lord I pray this over _____ in Jesus Name.”

  •  A phrase you will pray often is “It is written…”  Again, this is a wonderful reminder to your spirit, and to the enemy, that this is in the Living Breathing Word of God.

  • You don’t have to do all the kids at one sitting. You can do a few during the day as time allows. If at all possible, try to pray over each child several times during the day.
